General services provided:
It is always advisable to employ a Qualified Structural Engineer for the following types of small domestic work.
It is important to note that when roofs are altered, walls/chimneys are removed, additional loads are added to the existing foundations and the overall structural integrity of a building is affected.
A structural Engineer will not only design and size structural elements for floors, roofs and steel beams etc but advise on details to ensure stability is maintained.
A holistic approach is necessary. Failure to obtain this advice along with building regulation approval can result in potential collapse in extreme cases and problems with selling properties in the future.
We specialise in all of the above areas and would be only to pleased to provide any advice with regard to structural alterations to your domestic property prior to any works being carried out by others.
